Ghora Katora Lake is open every day from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings, go boating, or simply relax by the lake.
How to Reach Ghora Katora Lake
To begin your journey to Ghora Katora, first, you need to reach Shanti Stupa in Rajgir by car, bus, or any other vehicle.
From Shanti Stupa, the lake is located about 7 kilometers away. However, you cannot proceed with any fuel-powered vehicles to reach Ghora Katora.
Instead, you have a few options to reach the lake:
- Walk
- Cycle
- Take a sharing e-rickshaw (Toto)
The e-rickshaw ride costs ₹100 per person for a round trip (up and down). This ride takes around 20 minutes to reach the Ghora Katora area.
Along the way, you’ll pass through a forest area and a stone road, offering plenty of scenic views. You can stop at some of the viewpoints and enjoy the natural beauty surrounding the path.
